PURPOSE: To obtain laminated glass which is free from foaming and peeling of a plastic intermediate film after long term use by sandwiching said intermediate film between glass plates, press sticking the same, and packing a moisture impermeable sealant in the notch formed in the circumferential edge part.

CONSTITUTION: A plastic intermediate film 1 of polyvinyl butyral or the like for lamination is cut to the size shorter than the entire circumferential edge of glass plates 2, 3 to be laminated and the cut film is placed on one glass plate 2 to make a region where the film 1 is not placed uniformly in the circumferential edge part. A release type soft spacer 4 is disposed in the marginal part at the circumferential edge of the plate 2 where the intermediate film is not placed. Another sheet of glass plate is placed on the film 1 and the spacer 4 of said glass plate and is press stuck preliminarily, whereafter both are press stuck under required temp. and pressure to form laminated glass. The spacer 4 is removed and a moisture impermeable sealant 6 is packed in the notched part 5 formed after said removal.
