Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing a laminated polarizing plate with which the effective production of laminated polarizing plates of a thin type is possible.

CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the laminated polarizing plate comprises a first polarizing plate 3a formed by installing bases 2a on both surfaces of a polarizing element 1a with a second polarizing plate 3b formed by installing the bases 2b to both surfaces of a second polarizing element 1b stuck thereto. The second polarizing plate 3b is cut to a suitable square shape and the respective cut chips are rotated 90° in juxtaposition on a plane and thereafter, the adjacent chips are connected by suitable means to form a joined polarizing plate 3b. The joined polarizing plate 3b and the first polarizing plate 3a are stuck to each other, by which the laminated polarizing plate is produced.
