PURPOSE: To realize a uniform display in the production of a surface scattering- type liq. crystal display device by easily and uniformly fixing fine particles on an electrode substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The surface scattering-type liq. crystal display device wherein fine particles 3 and 7 are fixed on electrode substrate 1 and 5 is produced as follows. Namely, a conductive thin film is formed on the substrate 1 to obtain electrodes 2 and 6, the electrodes 2 and 6 are arranged in liq. or gas wherein the fine particles 3 and 7 are dispersed, and a voltage is impressed on the electrodes 2 and 6 to electrodeposit the fine particles 3 and 7 on the substrates 2 and 6. Consequently, the fine particles 3 and 7 are easily fixed on the electrode substrate, and a surface scattering-type liq. crystal display device excellent in uniformity can be realized.
