PURPOSE: To improve productivity and to reduce costs by dispersing synthetic resin particles in a solvent, coating said solvent dispersed with these particles on oriented films formed on transparent conductive films, and superposing flexible polymer films thereon and adhering these.
CONSTITUTION: Flexible polymer films such as polyethylene terephthalate films, polybuyrene terephthalate films or the like are used as panel substrates by superposing these as an upper substrate 1 and a lower substrate 2 of panels. Transparent conductive films 3 of indium oxide or the like are provided in prescribed patterns on the inside surfaces of the substrates 1, 2. Further, oriented films 4 consisting of satd. polyester or the like are formed on the films 3. Gap materials 5 consisting of synthetic resin particles are coated on the films 4 after these are dispersed in a solvent. Thereafter, the substrates 1, 2 are sealed in a superposed state by means of adhesives 6 such as silicone adhesives, UV curing adhesives or the like. Liquid crystals 7 are introduced through an introduction port into the space formed by this, and is sealed. Depending upon the display systems of the liquid crystals, polarizing plates 8 are superposed on the outer sides of the substrates 1, 2.
