PURPOSE: To easily produce the title membrane without restriction on stock or conditions in production by using a soln. contg. a specified wt.% of a hydrophilic polymer as a solidifying bath when a soln. consisting of a hydrophobic polymer, a solvent and a nonsolvent or a swelling agent is extruded from a nozzle into the solidifying bath to produce a membrane.
CONSTITUTION: When a soln. consisting of a hydrophobic polymer, a solvent and a nonsolvent or a swelling agent is extruded from a nozzle into a solidifying bath to produce a membrane, a soln. contg. 0.1-20wt.% hydrophilic polymer is used as the solidifying bath. A hydrophilic membrane having physical properties fit for various uses can easily be produced only by adding the hydrophilic polymer without varying the stock soln. or considerably increasing the number of processes. This membrane can be used in various fields, e.g. in industrial and medical uses.
