To provide an efficient production method for a composite particle in which a polymer is made to be composited on a surface of inorganic particle, substantially containing no polymer single particle with good dispersion state of individual particles and good slide property of smooth surface.
The production method for the composite particle includes (1) a step for filling a dispersion in which inorganic particles are dispersed in a solution of polymer making an organic solvent as a solvent in a pressure vessel while ensuring a space having a volume of 0.3-10 times of a volume of the organic solvent at 20°C and 101.3 kPa; (2) a step for making the polymer and the inorganic particle composite by pouring carbon dioxide in a pressure vessel under the condition that the temperature in the pressure vessel is the critical temperature or higher of carbon dioxide; and (3) a step for removing a mixture of the organic solvent and carbon dioxide from the pressure vessel.
