Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a neutral aminosilicone emulsion having small particle diameter in spite of its pH in a neutral range and having high concn. and low viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: When an aminosilicone emulsion is produced, emulsification is carried out in the presence of an acid with an ethylene oxide additives of higher alcohol, alkylphenol, alkylamine, etc., as an emulsifier and then the acid is neutralized with an alkali to obtain the objective neutral aminosilicone emulsion. This emulsion has small particle diameter in spite of its neutral state, has low viscosity and is stable and useful in the fiber industry, cosmetic industry and printing ink industry.
