Title:
PRODUCTION OF OXIDE MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07206515
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the strength of an oxide magnetic material by using an organic binder and a wax-type binder, removing an organic solvent from a formed material within a specific temperature range and sintering the product.

CONSTITUTION: This oxide magnetic material having high strength is produced by weighing and mixing powdery raw materials of an oxide magnetic material composed mainly of Fe2O3, MnO, ZnO, etc., and additives such as SiO2, CaO, etc., at prescribed compositional ratios, calcining the mixture, crushing the calcined material with a ball mill, etc., adding about 0.5-1.5wt.% (based on the raw material powder) of a wax-type organic binder, mixing and granulating the mixture, press-forming to a prescribed form, heating in air at a heating rate of about 50-200°C/hr, removing the most part of the organic binder at about 300-400°C, almost completely decomposing and removing the binder at about ≤500°C and baking by raising the temperature to a prescribed level.
