Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a molding of an oxyalkylene-containing polyvinyl alcohol excellent in solvent resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising an oxyalkylene-containing polyvinyl alcohol having an alkali metal acetate content of 0.3wt.% or below and desirably 0.1-10mol, per mol of the alkali metal acetate, of an acid of a pKa of 5.0 or below is melt-molded.
