PURPOSE: To provide a method for continuously producing pattern paper which exhibits extremely irregular wavy pattern.

CONSTITUTION: This method for producing patterned paper comprises attaching a brush roll onto a paper making wire, separately driving the brush roll in (1:0.4) to (1:0.9) ratio of a linear velocity of paper making wire to a linear velocity of the brush roll in the same direction as the wire and carrying out papermaking so as to keep water content of paper in a part with which the brush of the brush roll is in contact to 75-99%.
