Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a plasma treatment membrane useful as a carbon dioxide separation membrane not lowered in its membrane capacity even by the contact with water.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid mixture of a vinyl monomer having an oxyethylene group or a polyoxyethylene group and a cross-linking agent having at least two vinyl groups is impregnated into at least the surface part of a porous polymeric membrane and the impregnated membrane is subjected to plasma treatment to produce a plasma treated membrane having a hydrophilic surface part.
