Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyamine which can be added to foods to effectively utilize the polyamine without deteriorating the qualities of the foods, capable of efficiently and massively producing the polyamine by homogenizing the pancreas of an animal, adding an acid solution to the homogenate and extracting the polyamine.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyamine comprises homogenizing the pancreas of an animal such as cattle or pig, adding an acid solution such as a 0.01-6N sulfuric acid solution to the homogenate to control the pH of the homogenate to ≤2, and extracting the polyamine. The purification method preferably comprises either one or more methods selected from an ion exchange method, a gel filtration method, a membrane fractionation method, an electrophoresis method, a solvent extraction method and a thermal treatment method.
