Title:
PRODUCTION OF POLYOLEFIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3319051
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a polyolefin having an excellent quality and good particle properties while attaining an extremely high catalytic activity.
CONSTITUTION: An olefin is (co)polymerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising an organoaluminum compound catalyst component and a solid catalyst component which is a titanium catalyst component (a) obtained by reacting a homogeneous solution (b) containing magnesium, titanium, and alkoxy groups with a halogenated aluminum compound (c). This reaction is conducted in such a manner that the compound (c) is first added to the solution (b) in such an amount that the molar ratio of the halogen atoms of the compound (c) to the alkoxy groups is not less than 0.2 but less than 0.4 to form a particulate precipitate, and the compound (c) is then further added in such an amount that the molar ratio of the halogen atoms of the compound (c) to the alkoxy groups is not less than 1 but less than 20 to obtain the component (a).
