Title:
PRODUCTION OF PULVERIZED BLUESITE COATED WITH SURFACE TREATING AGENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3349108
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a solid surface treating agent melt-adhere simply and uniformly to the surfaces of pulverized bluesite particles by supplying the agent together with crushed bluesite raw stones into a pulverizer and using heat generated in the course of the pulverization of the raw stones.
SOLUTION: In pulverizing bluesite which is a natural mineral containing magnesium hydroxide as a main component, bluesite raw stones are crushed to adjust the particle size to be 5-7 mm. Next, the crushed raw stones are supplied together with a solid surface treating agent such as stearic acid to a pulverizer having at least a shearing effect while being weighed. The agent is melted by cracking heat generated during the pulverization and make to adhere to the surfaces of the fine particles uniformly by the shearing effect acting on the particles. In this way, the agent which is solid at an ordinary temperature can be made to melt-adhere without using a special heat-melting device.
