PURPOSE: To prevent the overpulverization of sintered ore and to improve a yield.
CONSTITUTION: The sintered ore having many open holes is produced by gradually pushing many hole opening rods 9 arranged apart prescribed intervals in the transverse and longitudinal directions of a pallet 3 on the downstream side of an ignition furnace 25 gradually from the surface layer side toward the lower layer side of a sintered layer 2a formed by the transfer of a combustion layer 10 formed in a sintering raw material layer 26 so as to meet the depth of the sintered layer while moving these rods in synchronization with the movement of the pallet 3, then removing the rods. The sintered ore is efficiently crushed by a crusher with the opened holes of the sintered ore as start points and, therefore, the generation of the minus sieve by the overpulverization is lessened.
