Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for a steel frame core by easily welding a core panel and a diaphragm without using conventional backing material and device automatically manufacturing the core utilizing the method.
CONSTITUTION: When the diaphragm 2 is welded at the end part of the cylindrical core panel 1 having an outward opening single level groove 1a around its peripheral part, a bead 3 positioned corresponding to the shape and size of the inside peripheral face of end part of the core panel 1 is formed by using a bead-on-plate welding method on the diaphragm 2 and a penetration welding 4 is carried out by using the bead 3 as a backing material for the groove 1a of the core panel 1.
