Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a thermal recording material having high sensitivity and excellent color forming uniformity by laminating a thermal layer to a support having a heat insulating under layer using plastic non-foamed hollow bodies by a blade coating method.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermal recording material formed by laminating a thermal layer to a base material having an under layer by a blade coating layer, the absorption factor Ha to water of the under layer due to a Bristol method (J. TAPPI paper pulp testing method No. 51-87) is set to 0.25ml/m2.msec1/2 or more and the contact angle with water thereof is set to 60° or less.
