To facilitate pulling of a mandrel out of a tubular member by winding a heat-shrinkable sheet around the periphery of the mandrel and winding a fiber bundle around the sheet to form the tubular member and heating the tubular member to temp. shrinking the heatshrinkable sheet or higher to shrink the heat-shrinkable sheet.
One layer of a heat-shrinkable sheet 2 is wound around a mandrel 1 and the joint of the sheet is fixed by an adhesive tape. Subsequently, a carbon fiber bundle 3 is wound around the shaft of the mandrel 1, for example, at an angle of 60° and further wound, for example, at an angle 90° to form a tubular member and the terminals of carbon fibers are fastened by tying so as not to unwind the carbon fibers. Next, the mandrel 1 is held in an oven held to, for example, 150°C, for example, for one hr in such a state that the carbon fibers 3 are wound and subsequently cooled to room temp. As a result, the heat-shrlnkable sheet 2 is shrunk to be bonded to the mandrel and a gap is generated between the mandrel and the tubular member and the mandrel 1 can be easily pulled out of the tubular member.
