Abstract:
To provide a biomarker that can predict a prognosis of a tumor patient based on the nature of tumor cells themselves.SOLUTION: A detection method of a prognostic marker for mammary tumor includes a step of detecting adipophilin in mammary tumor cells collected from a subject. The detection method further includes a step of determining that a prognosis of the subject is poor if more than 30% of tumor cells having adipophilin in the cell are detected by taking the number of tumor cells for 100%. Regarding the detection method, the prognosis is recurrence-free survival and the detection of adipophilin is performed by immunostaining of tumor tissue.SELECTED DRAWING: None
