Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program signal recording and reproducing device which can perform switching to another channel while continuing the cache operation and improves the operability in the channel switching during cache reproducing.
SOLUTION: A program signal received by a tuner 1 is recorded by a recording and reproducing part 3, and a tuner 5 is tuned to the channel switched to and a switching part 6 selects and outputs the program signal of the channel, to which the tuner 5 is tuned, when a channel is switched at the time of cache reproducing of output of a recorded part of the program signal from the switching part from the switching part 6. At this point, the program signal of the channel before channel switching is continuously recorded by the recording and reproducing part 3. Consequently, channel switching is performed without interruption of cache reproducing.
