A computer is made to function as a stream data reading unit 142 which reads in and stores stream data sequentially in a storage means, a stream data reproduction unit 144 which subjects the stream data that are read and stored to reproduction processing, an event determination unit 148 which determines the occurrence and termination of an event that disrupts the read of the stream data, and a stream data reproduction start position deciding unit 150 which determines the reproduction start position of the stream data resting on the basis of a read preparation time necessary for reading and storing the stream data in the storage means and at least either the occurrence timing or the termination timing of the read disrupting event that has occurred when the read disrupting event is terminated.
