To reduce a noise caused by a fan in a projecting device for projecting a video.
In this projecting device 102 provided with, in a cover part 10, a lamp 21, and illumination optical system 22 having a liquid crystal panel and a projection optical system 23 emitting projected light, an air sucking fan 31 and a ventilating fan 32 are arranged at positions separate from a suction port 11 and an exhaust port 12 formed on the cover part 10. Furthermore, the fan 31 and the port 11 are connected through a duct 4, and the fan 32 and the port 12 are connected through the duct 4 as necessary. Thus, the emission of a noise such as wind-ripping sound or the vibrational sound of a rotary shaft is reduced without lowering the cooling ability of the fans 31 and 32.
