Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in a projection device having a liquid crystal display element using a PWM drive method, when edge blend processing is performed, an image quality jamming peculiar to the PWM drive method occurs to make a connection part between projection screens due to a multi projection conspicuous.SOLUTION: Each projection device in a multi projection system has: a liquid crystal panel; a drive circuit that implement PWM control of the liquid crystal panel; edge blend processing for a synthesis display by each projection device; and a projection image processing unit 140 that implement switch processing of a gain characteristic of the edge blending processing by each projection device, in which synchronization of each projection device is maintained by a synchronization circuit. Accordingly, a sum of an image gain in a synthesis area of an image by each projection device becomes 1, and a location of the synthesis area or a characteristic of the image gain is switched for each frame, and a location of image deterioration varies for each frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
