Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distortion due to horizontal tilt and swing projection by using an intuitive, easy-to-understand distortion correcting and adjusting method.
SOLUTION: A projection device 11 is provided with a rotary knob 34 for correcting horizontal image distortion through user's operation. The rotary knob 34 outputs a voltage having a specified value according to the angle of rotation. The output voltage of the rotary knob 34 is converted through a microcomputer 21 into data regarding a horizontal swing and tilt angle set by the user's operation and the data are supplied to a distortion correcting circuit 31. Consequently, the distortion correcting circuit 31 automatically corrects vertical image distortion according to the detection result of a tilt sensor 33 and the horizontal image distortion can be corrected by reversing the rotary knob 34 by the same angle as the horizontal swing and tilt angle of the projection device 11.
