Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector including an automatic trapezoidal distortion correction means capable of measuring a correct tilt angle of a screen even when one test pattern is deviated from the screen while widening intervals of test patterns for calculating the tilt angle.
SOLUTION: Four light emitting elements 44 arranged in a line in a horizontal direction emit the test patterns to the screen 70, four vertical direction one-dimensionally arranged imaging elements 55 arranged in the horizontal direction receive respective reflected lights 32, the linearity of four light receiving positions is confirmed, if a deviated light receiving position from a straight line exists, the light receiving position is excluded, a distance from the two outside light receiving positions whose linearity is maintained up to the screen is obtained to calculate a tilt angle of the screen. Even when one test pattern is deviated from the screen 70, the tilt angle of the screen 70 can correctly be calculated.
