Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of easily detecting a damage state of a screen while suppressing an increase of the number of components of a device body.SOLUTION: A rear projector 100 (projector) includes: a red LD part 24, a green LD part 25, and a blue LD part 26 for irradiating laser light; a projection part 20 for projecting an image 90 including a VUI screen image 91 onto a screen 80 by scanning the laser light irradiated from each of the red LD part 24, the green LD part 25, and the blue LD part 26; a VUI light reception part 34 for at least detecting the laser light reflected by a finger 1; and a main control part 31 for performing control for accepting a device operation based on a result of the detection by the VUI light reception part 34 of the laser light reflected by the finger 1 and performing control for detecting a damage of the screen 80 based on a result of detection by the VUI light reception part 34 of the laser light reflected by the screen 80.
