PURPOSE: To perform mass-proliferation of a Phellopterus littoralis plant body by tissue culture by extracting the embryo from a seed of Phellopterus littoralis and culturing the embryo on an MS medium containing a specific phytohormone.

CONSTITUTION: The subject process consists of the following steps (A) to (C). (A) A step to extract the embryo from a seed of Phellopterus littoralis, (B) a step to plant the extracted embryo on an MS medium containing one or more phytohormones selected from 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), culture the embryo and induce an adventitious bud and (C) a step to transplant the obtained adventitious bud to an MS medium free from phytohormone and culture the bud to obtain a grown plant body.
