PURPOSE: To inexpensively produce a protecting cover without requiring any die adaptable for the various kinds of the articles to be protected by making the protecting cover used for keyboard, etc., of thermoplastic elastomer.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic film is folded on. itself and the two sides are thereafter sealed under heat into a bag-like cover with heat sealed sides 2. A hole is formed in the center of the bag-like cover and a hose connecting part 3 is bonded to the hole. After placing an article such as keyboard for computer into the bag, the sides of a moth 4 of the bag are fastened together by a bar clip 5 and the hose of a vacuum cleaner is connected to the hose connecting part 3. In this condition, a switch of the vacuum cleaner is turned on to evacuate the protecting cover so as to reduce its inner pressure, a hair dryer is then used in order to spray hot air against the protecting cover for about three minutes and then cold air against it, the bar clip 5 is thereafter removed to take out the keyboard and superfluous parts are severed from the protecting cover by a cutter to conform the bag with the keyboard in a neat manner.
