Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to protect equipment against lightning surge and the like with reliability, by installing a protective circuit on the communication cable side, on the power supply side and between the communication cable and the power supply, respectively.
SOLUTION: The center conductors of the n-type jacks 2, 3 of connectors are connected with each other using a wire 7, and the external conductors are connected with each other using a wire 8. The wire 8 is also connected with a communication cable earthing terminal SG. Further, diode stacks D1-D4 are series-connected between the wire 7 and the wire 8 to form a protective circuit. A terminal POWER for power supply connection is connected with fuses F1, F2, with a pilot lamp 6 comprising a light-emitting diode, and further with a protective circuit comprising series-connected varistors VAR1, VAR2. An arrestor ARR1 is of three-pole constitution, and its intermediate pole is connected with a protective circuit comprising the arrestor ARR2 and the varistor VAR3, connected with an earthing terminal E for protector. As a result equipment can be protected against lightning surge and the like with reliability.
