Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit easily a wire protector on a wire and prevent its positional deviation, by making the inner diameter of a wire inserting hole of its cylindrical elastic body smaller than the outer diameter of the wire, and by providing recessively bonding- material accepting grooves on the inner peripheral surface of the wire inserting hole.
SOLUTION: Forming a wire protector 10 as a cylindrical elastic member molded by an extrusion out of a foamed EPDM material, and passing through it axially a wire inserting hole 11 for inserting a wire thereinto, the inner diameter of the hole 11 is made slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the wire to fit tightly the protector 10 on the wire. Also, on the inner peripheral surface 12 of the wire inserting hole 11, bonding-material accepting grooves 13 extended from its one opening 14 to its other opening 15 are provided recessively and linearly along its axial direction. Therefore, when the wire protector 10 is fitted tightly on the wire, reducing its contacting portion with the outer peripheral surface of the wire, its engagement friction can be decreased largely and a bonding material is expanded enough over its inner surface to bond and fasten surely the wire to it. As a result, the wire protector 10 can be attached easily to the wire and its positional deviation after its attachment can be prevented.
