Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable operation of a pulverizer and also to contrive miniaturizing and energy saving of the pulverizer by optimizing particle diameters of raw material fed into a vertical roller mill and a tube mill.
SOLUTION: In a vertical roller mill 1 in which the considerable amount of pulverized raw material is taken out from below the mill, raw material of relatively small particle diameters is taken out from above the mill together with gas introduced into the mill to reduce fine particles to be caught in a pulverizing part. And the raw material taken from the mill 1 is sorted and separated into coarse powder, middle powder, and fine powder by a classifier 2. The fine powder is made a product, all or part of the coarse powder is returned to the vertical roller mill to pulverize it again, and also the middle powder or the middle powder and remaining part of the coarse powder sorted by a distributing means is subjected to secondary pulverization by a tube mill, thereby optimizing particle diameters of the raw material fed into the pulverizers. Furthermore hot gas is used as the gas to dry the raw material while it is pulverized.
