PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress cooling loss at the time when internal EGR is being performed, to improve heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: At a portion on a peripheral wall surface 17 side of a cylinder 7 approaching an exhaust port 33 on an inner wall surface of an exhaust port 31, provided is an edge part 51 for peeling, from the inner wall surface of the exhaust port 31, circulation flow of burned gas returned into the cylinder 7 by internal EGR, thereby generating peeling flow that burned gas flows at a passage position of the exhaust port 33 in a direction away from the cylinder liner wall surface 17 of the cylinder 7 by the edge part 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
