Abstract:

PURPOSE: A water-insoluble and immobilized anti-interferon gamma is used as an adsorbent to effect high-efficiency and advantageous purification of interferon gamma used as an immune depressant in its aqueous solution through simple operations in an industrial scale.

CONSTITUTION: Crude interferon aqueous solution containing its gamma derivative is brought into contact with a water-insoluble and immobilized anti-interferon gamma to effect its adsorption. Then, the interferon gamma is eluted to effect peculiar purification. As the anti-interferon gamma, is mentioned a polyclonal antibody which is obtained by immunizing an animal with highly purified interferon gamma or a monoclonal antibody which is obtained from hybridoma resultant from cell fusion between animal lymphocytes immunized with interferon gamma and myeloma cells originating from animals.
