Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a usefull pyro-electricity type infrared detector which is capable of removing common-mode noise, having no detection dead space, and also detecting the travel direction of a moving body. CONSTITUTION:Four light-receiving elements 2 to 5 having the same shape, the same light-receiving area, the same light-receiving sensitivity are formed in a whirl on the surface of a pyro-electric raw material 1 so that they are 90 degrees out of phase with each other and symmetrical around the center O of rotation. The four light-receiving elements 2 to 5 are grouped into two pairs I, II of dual elements, and outputs are adapted to be taken out from the respective dual elements I, II.
