Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new mesoscopic electronics element having epoch-making information processing speed and information precision.
CONSTITUTION: Quantum dots QD1 to QDi+9 where electrons (e) are spatially shut up are so formed that tunnel transition probabilities between quantum dots realize a joint corresponding to prescribed information processing. Information processing is performed by spatial distribution of electrons according with tunnel transition of electrons, and data is inputted and outputted by irradiation of light.
