Title:
QUANTUM INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND QUANTUM INFORMATION PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3854059
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practicable quantum information processing method having a sufficient coherency in which a quantum bit can be distinguished and defined regardless of its space position, wiring nor microfabrication is not needed, the degree of integration and the extendability of the quantum bit is enhanced.
SOLUTION: Many physical systems disposed in a resonator are prepared. Each physical system has three energy levels in which two transitions are optically possible, and the quantum bit is expressed according to the state of superposition of the two levels constituting remaining optically prohibitive transition, and a plurality of physical systems are combined by a common resonator mode. An initial state is set by irradiating two physical systems selectively respectively with two kinds of light beams in which the difference of frequency corresponds to the transition frequency of optically prohibitive transition. The quantum state of two physical systems is replaced by irradiating these two physical systems simultaneously with two kinds of light beams having a frequency which sympathizes with the transition which can transit optically, changing the strength.
