PURPOSE: To make the quick extraction of remaining coil by reciprocating the uncoiler and the first and second coil cars in specified positional relation in the inlet side of a rolling line.

CONSTITUTION: The first coil car 7 is on standby at a preparatory position loaded with a succeeding coil. When necessary quantity of the preceding coil 2 is passed, it is divided by a shear on the back of a pinch roll leveler 1. The preceding strip is passed as it is and remaining strip is wound by an uncoiler 3 as a remaining coil. Next, a coil car 5 that has been waiting under the mandrel of the uncoiler 3 goes up and receives the coil 2. The uncoiler moves to the back of the paper and the car 5 moves to the surface of the paper. The car 7 then moves to the position of the uncoiler 3, and the uncoiler 3 moves to the surface of the paper, and the mandrel enters inner diameter of the coil 4. Then, the car 7 goes down and the mandrel expands and transfer of the coil 4 is completed.
