Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a quick setting material for a cement capable of remarkably promoting the setting and hardening of a concrete or a mortar and provide a method for promoting the setting and hardening of the concrete or mortar using the quick setting material.
CONSTITUTION: This quick setting material for a cement is a CaO-Al2O3-Fe2 O3-Na2O-based baked material containing Ca2(AlXFe1-X)2O5 (0<X<1) and comprises the baked material containing 65-40 pts.wt. CaO, 5-45 pts.wt. Al2O3, 10-40 pts.wt. Fe2O3 and 5-20 pts.wt. Na2O as a substrate. This method for promoting the setting and hardening of a concrete or a mortar is to add the quick setting material for the cement in an amount of 2-25wt.% based on the cement thereto.
