To provide a quilting ruler which is composed of a small and simple structure and can move smoothly along the embossed parts of a processed fabric.

A first supporting section 13a at the back end of a guide body 13 composed of a fabric guider 12 in an anteroposterior direction is connected in a swingable manner in vertical direction to a connecting section 11a formed on the right end of a stick support 11 in a longitudinal direction. A torsion coil spring 14 is externally attached to the connecting section 11a of the stick support 11 and the fabric guider 12 supports a fabric guiding plate 15 at the tip in a swingable manner and is turnably energized on the processed fabric side by the spring power of the torsion coil spring 14. In case the fabric guider 12 passes through the embossed parts of the processed fabric during the sewing process, it swings upward against the spring power of the torsion coil spring 14 through the fabric guiding plate 15 but after it passes through the embossed parts it is swingably restored downwards by the spring power of the torsion coil spring 14 and moves along the surface of the processed fabric.
