Title:
QUINARY NUMBER BAR-CODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63307595
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To clearly show a start point and an end point of a converted electric signal of each by drawing a linear segment which can be discriminated from a thin bar line end a thick bar line, in parallel parallel to a long side of a rectangle extending over the overall length, in a space area which has appeared in the start point and the end point of the bar-code.

CONSTITUTION: When a rectangular numerical value display area C1 is in a space state, this quinary number bar-code begins with a space state, therefore, in the rectangular numerical value display area C1, a bar line which can be discriminated from a bar line B1 and B2, for instance, two pieces of thin bar lines B3 are drawn in parallel to a long side of a rectangle extending over its overall width, and a start point of this code is displayed. Also, when one piece of this bar line B1 is drawn in the rectangular numerical value display area C1, and other rectangular numerical value display areas C02, C01 are in a space state, two pieces of thin parallel bar lines B3 are drawn in the rectangular numerical value display area C01, and an end point of this code is displayed. In such a way, the start point and the end point of the code become clear, the possibility of misread is reduced, and the cost of printing for the code is reduced.
