Title:
RADAR SHIELDING MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6481400
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a thin radar shielding member by employing, as an antenna element, a minimum scattering antenna in which a line member is connected as a load for pure reactance and in which this line member is terminated by a non-load state or short circuit. CONSTITUTION: When a line L has a variable length 1 and a load Z of pure reactance, that is, in the case of no load or short circuit, the full power Pa is reflected to an antenna after travelling on the line. Using a line stretcher, the reflected wave is fed back to an antenna element A, with such a phase that back scattering of an incident wave is at the minimum level. By combining a plurality of ring antennas into a single array, a single shielding surface is formed. The length of the line of this radiator is tuned with a predetermined frequency, and the line member is mounted on the back side of a dielectric carrier in a state that the line member is insulated from a metallized portion. This antenna element is formed as a closed ring, and the shielding property with respect to a desired frequency may be set by selecting the dimension of the ring.
