PURPOSE: To obtain a miniature and lightweight radar unit by arraying slot antenna elements in a comb shape and by using an easily-adjustable and miniature antenna which has one-side terminals of odd-numbered and even-numbered elements connected to feeding terminals.
CONSTITUTION: On one side of dielectric substrate 1, odd-numbered slot 3 and even-numbered slot 3' are formed in direction Y and on the other microstrip feeding lines 4 and 4' coupled electromagnetically with slots 3 and 3' are formed being arrayed in direction Y and in a comb shape. Then, feeding lines 4 and 4' are connected to feeding terminals 10 and 11. To feeding terminal 10, oscillator 12 is connected and to feeding terminal 11, a mixer diode is also connected as a substitute for receiver 13. The odd-numbered slot antenna serves as a transmitting antenna, and the even-numbered slot antenna as receiving one.
