PURPOSE: To prevent damage to cords on both ends of a ply by shaping a hold ply formed by upward twisting and downward twisting of aromatic polyamide fiber, in the same type in its direction of cord arrangement and the direction of cord twist, in the case of a hold breaker radial tire.

CONSTITUTION: The direction of twisting and the direction of arrangement of the cord of a hold ply, formed by an aromatic polyamide fiber cord forming a breaker along with a cut end ply which has steel cord cut end part, are formed in the same type of Z type or S type. Then, coefficient NT of twist for upward twisting and downward twisting of cord for a hold ply is obtained by predetermined calculation formulas I , II and both are selected at 0.36W0.54. Thus, damage to cords on both ends of the hold ply can be prevented.
