Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a radio type load control device capable of controlling power supply to a load within the range of continuous values immediately after operation by providing the control device with the combination of a control signal determining means, a detection means and a power supply control means. CONSTITUTION: When a switch 26 fitted to an actuator for a wiper 42 in a potentiometer 34 is turned on, power is supplied from a power source. During the period, an analog signal determined by the position of the wiper 42 is digitized by an A/D converter 40 and a serial coded data signal is outputted from an encoder 38. A carrier frequency oscillator 46 executes AM modulation and power is supplied to infrared-ray diodes 50, 52 through an amplifier 48. An infrared-ray signal is received by an infrared-ray receiver diode 82 and a serial code signal is demodulated by a preamplifier circuit 80. When two effective data words are inputted from the circuit 80, a decoder 84 applies a decode permission signal to a line 91 and applies a decoder output also to the line 91. An output from the decoder 84 is connected to a line 93 through a D/A converter 88 and a switching means 90. The permission signal on the line 91 is used for driving the load.
