PURPOSE: To obtain a radio wave absorber having excellent frequency versus reflection attenuation amount characteristics by a method wherein a sintered low permittivity magnetic material having the permittivity of less than 8 is used.
CONSTITUTION: A sintered low dielectric constant magnetic material having the permittivity r of 8 or smaller is used. Accordingly, a wave absorber with which the whole VHF and UHF can be covered can be formed in the suitable thickness with the permittivity r of 6W7 or thereabout. The magnetic material having the specific permittivity r of 6W7 can be obtained by mixing the ceramic such as quartz glass, boron nitride and the like into the ordinary ferrite powder and by sintering them. As a result, a radio wave absorber having broad band characteristics in the thickness of 10mm or smaller.
