Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave receiver whose antenna resolution is improved by utilizing a transfer function in an azimuth frequency region, resulting from applying Fourier transform to an antenna pattern with respect to an azimuth angle.
SOLUTION: This receiver is provided with a signal processing circuit 6, consisting of a means 6-1 that applies Fourier transformation to an electric field signal outputted from an antenna reception circuit with respect to an azimuth angle, of a means 6-2 that applies Fourier transform to an antenna pattern of an antenna with respect to the azimuth angle, of a means 6-3 that divides a signal resulting from applying Fourier transformation to the electric field signal by a signal resulting from applying Fourier transform to the antenna pattern, of a low-pass filter 6-4 that applies low-pass filter processing to a quotient signal, of a means 6-5 that extracts exponential function components of an output signal from the low-pass filter, of a means 6-6 that extends the frequency band of the output signal of the low-pass filter in excess of a cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter by using the exponential function component, and of a means 6-7 that applies inverse Fourier transformation to a signal whose frequency band is extended with respect to the azimuth angle, and the processing circuit outputs the signal obtained resulting from the inverse Fourier transform as a final antenna output.
