To provide a radiographic system capable of performing calibration without taking a shielding object into consideration.
A grid driving mechanism 5 can move an X-ray grid 4 for removing scattering X-rays between an image pickup position and a retracting position. A controller 14 controls the grid driving mechanism 5 so as to move the X-ray grid 4 from the image pickup position to the retracting position on the basis of the start of calibration by a calibration part 11 and retain the X-ray grid 4 at the retracting position at the time of the calibration. Thus, the X-ray grid 4 is retained at the retracting position at the time of the calibration and the calibration is performed without taking the X-ray grid 4 which is one of the shielding objects into consideration.
