PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail vehicle having an impact buffering structure which even if the rail vehicle comprising an impact buffering structure in an operation room collides with an obstacle so that a large collision load occurs between the abdomen of an occupant and a desk, can buffer an impact with a buffer body arranged in front of the knee of the occupant, and can buffer impact applied to the occupant by changing rigidity of the buffer body and scattering and absorbing the impact even if there are differences in time when the abdomen, the knee and the buffer body start to collide with each other.SOLUTION: A rail vehicle has in an operation room of the rail vehicle a seat on which an occupant is seated, a desk incorporated with a function of allowing the occupant to drive and operate, and a buffer body arranged in the desk to keep the occupant safe, which further comprises: an abdomen collision portion which receives impact when the abdomen of the occupant collides with the desk; a load transmission body which transmits a collision load from the abdomen of the occupant to a buffer body arranged in front of the knee of the occupant; and the buffer body for buffering impact applied to the abdomen and the knee of the occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
