To provide a railway vehicle system which can make compatible the flexible coupling/decoupling operation of a hybrid railway motor car train and the easy management of the maintenance of an accumulator by leveling a power accumulation amount, and can achieve the control of a hybrid organization.
The railway vehicle system comprises: a DC power generation means 5 which generates DC power; an inverter means 7 which converts the DC power into AC power; a motor 8 which is driven by the inverter means 7; a power accumulation means 9 which has a function of charging and discharging the DC power; a power accumulation amount detection means which detects a power accumulation amount of the power accumulation means 9; and a plurality of vehicles 1 each having an integrated control means. Each of the vehicles 1 comprises an information control means 11 which extracts power accumulation information possessed by the integrated control means, and an information transmission/receiving means 13 which transmits and receives the power accumulation information between the information control means 11 and the information control means 11 possessed by the other vehicle.
