To provide a rainwater collector, from which rainwater at an initial stage is removed and in which subsequent normal rainwater is stored in a storage tank and a discharge opening for rainwater at the initial stage can be enlarged so that the rainwater collector need not be maintained frequently.
In the rainwater collector in which rainwater flowing in a leader is collected and a reclaimed-water storage tank is supplied with rainwater, the rainwater collector has a collecting pipe installed in communication with the leader and used for collecting rainwater, a connecting pipe connecting the collecting pipe and the reclaimed-water storage tank, a float sinking and floating by the water level of the collecting pipe and a flowing-down port formed to the bottom section of the collecting pipe. In the rainwater collector, the flowing-down port is left as it is closed by the float when rain begins to fall, and the float is floated when the water level of the collecting pipe is made higher than the place of the connecting pipe at a fixed value, and the flowing- down port is opened.
